The first kayaking fishing contest between Calahonda and Mijas was a great success.

The one-day event brought expert kayak fishermen from throughout Andalucia and beyond. 

The fun, good competition and fantastic food were a result of the great work and organization of the Peskayak Malaga Fishing Club.

Galaxy Kayaks was one of the main sponsors and we had a great time. The fishing was great fun.  We fished little but the kids had fun, we ate great Paella and life smiled on us.

Our second tournament experience was a solemn affair with many competitors (170) coming from far and wide to try to win the first prize of 3000€ and our 4^th prize kayak. It was a surfcasting competition, and yours truly had a go, trying not to embarrass himself and tangle too many lines…  The outcome was not a lot of fish but a competitive spirit indeed with sponsored teams doing their best, and of course the universal huge Paella to finish off the day and some cold beers to wash em down!!
